Profile

Once the Royal British Legion on Market Street Lutterworth, now fully refurbished, extended and rebuilt in an 18 month project The Lantern opened its doors in June this year and is ready to serve you up a delightful Cantonese experience. The Chinese restaurant is owned and run by Raymond Lau, who up until 5 years ago ran a successful Chinese take away, also in Lutterworth. Raymond and his team are delighted with The Lantern and feel that while keeping the essence of the building's exterior they have given the interior a whole new modern look and feel, making it unrecognisable from the start of the project just 18 months ago.

The beautifully designed & decorated restaurants boasts a VIP area, 2 floors of seating for up to 80 people, a fully licensed bar and a menu to delight your Chinese & Cantonese taste buds. (*) The upstairs area can hold meetings, functions, private dining, and birthday parties - all with bespoke menus if required. Raymond is keen to tailor make any function you may wish to hold, offering you a unique dining experience in modern relaxed surroundings.

Children are welcome in the restaurant and smaller portions from the menu can be made to suit. Allergies can be catered for as all food is cooked fresh on site. The building is fully air conditioned, has disabled access & facilities and with its purple and silver theme, done to the highest standard, its sure to WOW you as you enter.

As The Lantern holds a bar licence you are able to pop in for a drink with no pressure to eat - although we can't guarantee you won't once you've smelled the delights of what's on the menu! People who have already started to pop in for regular drinks have found themselves ordering a few starters to snack on and nicknaming it 'Chinese Tapas'!
